RACING

ACA New England sanctions a number of race events, please be sure to consider participating. There are a variety of racing events available for canoes and kayaks. Racing begins in March and runs through November.

Many of these races count in point series where the best race finishes are totaled together to determine the winners.

ACANE 2007 Sanctioned Race Events - These events are sanctioned by ACA New England and consist of DR and Slalom races, including ACA regional and national championships.

Slalom - Closed or decked boats, and open canoe slalom racing events.

FW/DR - Flatwater, whitewater downriver, war canoe, triathlon and biathlon racing events offered in the New England area.

Poling - Canoe poling racing events and clinics.

Point Series - Series of races with points awarded for each event based upon finish. Available in C/D slalom, sea kayak, downriver, and flatwater.
